Mustafa Tümer Tan, a METU Civil Engineering graduate and Earthquake Engineering M.Sc. holder, bridges the gap between theory and practice. For over 20 years, he played a pivotal role in ProtaStructure team as Product Manager, Software Architect, and Executive Board Member, mastering advanced fields like finite elements, base isolation, performance analysis, and retrofitting.
Beyond the industry, he served as an instructor at METU Architecture Department (2011-2022) and was recognized by ACI as a 'Successful Young Practicing Engineer.' A testament to his expertise is a building he strengthened with CFRP during his Master's research with the METU team, which successfully survived the major 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.
He has shared his knowledge through numerous international seminars and technical papers. Today, he continues to pursue his passion for combining innovative structural techniques with software engineering through his own venture, TAN Software & Engineering.
